FOGHORN & LEGHORN
Do I really need to explain this one? I mean … what better name for a pair of identical looking chickens? They are good looking birds and judging by their appearance [as I have no birth certificates] they seem to be the oldest of the brood. I make this claim based on their high percentage of “real feathers” [as opposed to down] and of course on my hours of poultry research and experience.
HAWKEYE
Of course the boldest, most unique chick gets the most powerful name. I am really hoping that this one is a female. I am not sure how I could part with a chicken named “Hawkeye”. I guess I could always recycle the name a la The Simpsons cats, with a numeric suffix. Along these lines … please do not suggest “Snowball” as a name. We already have a cat that answers to that name. It would get really confusing.
FLASH
This chick is the leader of the pack. To the casual observer Flash may be hard to distinguish from Foghorn & Leghorn. But if one looks closely, differences in feather patterns can be identified.
LEFTY [aka Scooter ?]
This goofy bird came to us with a crooked neck. As such, she was easy to pick out of the group of nondescript white birds.
SCOOTER
and THE REST ...
